1What this site is
HKTV.MY is a Hong Kong information aggregator and navigator. We do not do original reporting or produce television programmes; we reorganise, categorise and translate publicly available information so you do not have to bounce between government sites and apps.
The site has five main sections plus a tools collection:
- News (news.hktv.my) — highlights from government press releases and public RSS feeds.
- TV (tv.hktv.my) — channel information and programme schedules for reference only.
- Life (life.hktv.my) — weather, exchange rates, markets, bus arrivals, and the preserved-flower shop.
- Jobs (jobs.hktv.my) — government vacancies and private-sector openings.
- Tools (hktv.my/tools.php) — MTR route planner, public holiday calendar, area/postal codes, currency conversion and more.
2What we do not do
To avoid any misunderstanding, we never do the following:
- No live television, programme playback or downloads. Schedules list channels and times only — no play links, stream addresses or video files.
- No pirated content. We do not republish copyrighted films, series, music or paywalled content, and we do not offer piracy tools or geo-restriction workarounds.
- Not an official channel. Transport, weather, holiday and job information is subject to the official announcements; for travel, legal or financial decisions, always rely on the official source.
- We do not sell personal data. See our Privacy Policy.

4Editorial principles
- Cite the source: compiled items keep a link to the original where possible so you can verify.
- No distortion: we summarise and organise without changing meaning, and correct errors promptly.
- Bilingual by design: government source text is usually Traditional Chinese; our English interface adds translated labels.
- No paid news: advertising is kept separate and labelled.
5How the site is funded
The site is independently run by a small team. It is funded by display advertising (including Google AdSense) and affiliate shop orders, which lets us keep the information free. Advertising does not influence our content choices.
